HSCI launches Honda Accord V6 in India
Honda Siel Cars India (HSCI) has announced the launch of the new Accord V6, which is powered by Honda’s six-cylinder, 3.5-litre, i-VTEC engine that makes 275 horsepower. The car is priced at Rs 25 lakh, ex-showroom Delhi.
In the interests of boosting fuel economy, the Accord V6’s engine features Variable Cylinder Management (VCM) technology that automatically de-activates up to three of the engine’s six cylinders when full power is not needed. The Honda V6 is also E10 (10% ethanol and 90% unleaded petrol) compatible and is mated to a five-speed automatic transmission, which also allows manual shifting of gears (without using any clutch), via shift paddles mounted behind the steering wheel.
Fitted with a host of safety features and with its luxurious interiors and the legendary Honda reliability and fuel efficiency, the Accord V6 should be able to add yet another chapter to Honda’s success story in India.
