Mahindra Xylo launched in South Africa
M&M, via its subsidiary Mahindra South Africa, has launched its new multi-purpose vehicle – the Xylo – in South Africa. ‘The Xylo symbolizes the creation of a completely new vehicle platform in the Mahindra stable. The vehicle is a global people carrier and we are delighted to launch it in South Africa, which is a strategic market for Mahindra's overall globalization strategy,’ said Pawan Goenka, President - Automotive Sector, Mahindra & Mahindra, and Chairman - Mahindra South Africa.
In the meanwhile, M&M has increased its stake in the joint venture with its South African partner from 51% to 90% and is expected to also acquire the remaining 10% in the near future.
