Tata Motors to launch Jaguar, Land Rover in India tomorrow

Jaguar and Land Rover brands will be officially launched in India tomorrow, at the Taj Hotel in Mumbai. Tata Motors will the sole importers of JLR vehicles in the country

Tata Motors is all set to announce the launch of Jaguar and Land Rover cars in India tomorrow, the 28th of June. The launch press conference and function will be held at the Taj Hotel in Mumbai, where some of the cars will also be displayed. Tata Motors will be the exclusive importer of JLR cars in India and sales are scheduled to begin later this year.

While JLR cars may provide an aura of perceived glamour to Tata Motors operations in India, the company has actually suffered huge losses on account of acquiring the iconic British brands. The company recently reported a consolidated loss of Rs 2,505 crore, which is said to be largely because of the JLR acquisition.
