Honda Faze 250 scooter launched in Japan

The all-new Honda Faze 250 costs more than Rs 3 lakh in Japan...

Honda has launched an all-new scooter – the Faze 250 – in the Japanese market. The scooter is fitted with a liquid-cooled, single-cylinder, 250cc engine that features Honda’s PGM-FI fuel-injection technology and produces 23bhp and 23Nm of torque.

The Faze 250, which weighs 180 kilos, also gets a tubular steel chassis, 35mm fork up front, twin rear shocks, 13-inch wheels and C-ABS anti-lock braking. The scooter is currently only available in Japan, where it costs the equivalent of Rs 3.12 lakh.

We at India Automotive often wonder why Honda sticks with the age-old Activa and Dio scooters in India, and we guess the Faze 250 is a part of the answer. Honda’s new-age, high-tech scooters and motorcycles are, probably, simply too expensive for our market…!
