Viper, a US-based company that specialises in car alarm and remote-start systems, has now launched a new application for the Apple iPhone, which lets you lock, unlock and remote-start your car. Priced at US$499, the system consists of a piece of hardware that you need to fit to your car, and the iPhone app – called SmartStart – which you need to install on your iPhone. And with that, you’re ready to impress your friends, neighbours and girlfriend – just whip out your iPhone and touch the ‘start’ icon on its screen to start up your car!
If you really want to impress people, it’ll probably help if you have a new Mercedes-Benz E350, though the Viper system can be fitted to any car, including the Maruti 800. So the next time you go abroad, make sure you pick up one of these nifty little gizmos… :-)
