Nissan, which will start its foray into the light commercial vehicle (LCV) segment in India in 2010, has announced prices for its NV200 commercial van in Europe. The NV200, which is due to be launched in India next year, is now on sale in the UK with prices starting at £12,090 (Rs 9.37 lakh), which seems to be good value for money.
The Nissan NV200 is fitted with a 1.5-litre four-cylinder diesel engine, which has a fuel economy figure of 23km/l (under test conditions, we suppose). A passenger version of this van will also go on sale in Europe early next year, and we expect that to be offered in India as well.
