Ducati opens second showroom in India, in Gurgaon
Italian sportsbike manufacturer, Ducati has opened its second showroom in the country, in Gurgaon. The company, which already has a dealership in Mumbai, has partnered with Precision Motor to handle its sales and marketing operations in India.
Ducati, which hopes to sell around 150 of its bikes in India in 2010, will offer its entire line-up here, including the 1198, Streetfighter, 848, Monster range, Multistrada range and the Hypermotard range. Given the stiff import duties levied on CBUs, these bikes will be priced between Rs 14-60 lakh, which means that will remain completely out of reach for most motorcycle enthusiasts in the country.
‘We see a lot of potential in India and we feel honoured to be part of the evolving motorcycle industry in the country,’ says Mirko Bordiga, CEO, Ducati APAC. He also indicated that in addition to the existing two, Ducati is likely to open another 3-4 outlets in India in 2010.
