Maruti looks to double exports in 2010
Maruti Suzuki plans to boost its exports by 100% this year, to 160,000 units or more. Currently, the Maruti A-Star (sold as the Suzuki Alto in overseas markets) is the company’s best performer when it comes to exports, with the car doing well in Europe, South America and the Middle East.
This year, apart from the A-Star, Maruti also plans to focus on the Ritz (sold as the Suzuki Splash in many markets), which is already being exported to Indonesia and which may be exported to various other countries in South East Asia and the Middle East later this year.
